It’s come to my notice that there have been one or two complaints of toothache lately. As no occurrence can be too trifling for the attention of a diligent housekeeper, I thought it well to remind good readers that washing behind the ears with cold water every morning will totally forestall aching teeth thus averting the need for squeals of anguish and noisy laments from the servants’ hall.
